Intensive Driving Courses Grange over Sands

For many people weekly driving lessons are not the way forward. When you consider that approximately 45 weekly lessons are required to get you to driving test standard, that means that realistically you'll be learning to drive for over a year by the time you factor in holidays etc So what are the options? Well, you could ask your instructor for multiple or longer weekly lessons but these are dependent on availability, which to be honest is a bit of a nightmare, or you may opt for an Intensive Driving Course. Intensive Driving Courses are used extensively throughout the Driver Training Industry, the military use them almost exclusively for their learner drivers and if you move onto other vehicle categories your training will be done via an intensive driving course.

Are Intensive Driving Courses for everyone?

That's an easy answer "No!" if you prefer to take your time learning gradually and letting things sink in over a period of months, that's fine, but an Intensive Driving Course wouldn't be best suited for you.

How do Intensive Driving Courses work?

Firstly, the customer chooses the length of Intensive Driving Course they think is best suited to them. The standard training day is 6 hours long, broken up into three two hour training periods. What happens in the training periods depends on the customers needs. Remember that as well as reaching the driving test standard it is desirable to give the customer as much "real life" experience as possible by driving on busier, faster roads and motorways when possible - but of course this depends upon the customer's progress.
